Chudika Mahadevan, aka Karissa Smail, is a native San Diegan who has loved drawing and painting since she was 4 years old. Chudi teaches childrens' painting classes at Andre Rushing Art Academy in San Diego and private lessons at her own home studio in Kensington.
Chudi has traveled the world: India, New Zealand, Australia, and the Hawaiian Islands and is always inspired by nature's beauty.
Chudi lives in Kensington and shares her little art studio with her african gray parrot, Kili, who sits on a perch and watches Chudi paint. Chudika also paints wall murals.
